Tony Iommi, who lost the tips of his fingers at a factory, created his signature viscous and heavy sound by loosening strings and using unique riffs. The legendary track Paranoid appeared almost by accident. The producer was short one composition to fill the album, so Black Sabbath wrote it in just a few hours. As a result, this extra song became their biggest hit and gave the entire album its name.
